What is speech therapy?

Speech therapy helps individuals improve their communication skills, including speech, language, and fluency. It is often used to treat conditions such as speech delays, stuttering, articulation disorders, and language disorders. Additionally, Speech Therapists can work with adults after an incident such as a stroke or TBI. 

What types of speech disorders can speech therapy help with?

  • Articulation disorders (e.g., difficulty pronouncing sounds)

  • Language disorders (e.g., difficulty with understanding or using language)

  • Fluency disorders (e.g., stuttering)

  • Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)

What is occupational therapy?

For kids, OT looks like play with purpose and building skills for activities such as dressing, handwriting, self-regulation, and sensory processing. For adults, it means reclaiming independence with support for daily routines, mobility, fine motor skills, and adaptive strategies.

Do I need a referral from a doctor to see a speech or occupational therapist?

In most cases, you do need a referral to see an SLP or OT. Please check with your insurance company if you are unsure.

How do I get a doctor's referral?

Please let us know who your child's primary care physician is by completing our patient registration form and we will reach out to them to initiate the referral process and obtain a prescription for services. 

Where does therapy occur?

We are a mobile therapy service, providing treatment in homes, schools (dependent on permission), daycares (dependent on permission), day programs, group homes, and any other natural environment to the patient.  

Does insurance cover speech and occupational therapy?

Many insurance plans cover speech and occupational therapy services. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm coverage and out-of-pocket costs. 

We also accept cash pay and can provide a superbill to families that have insurance but are Out of Network (OON). Please contact for fees and further information regarding this. 

What insurance do you accept?

We are covered by Medicaid FFS, Molina Medicaid, Anthem BCBS Medicaid, SilverSummit, Medicare, Northern Nevada Laborers Health & Welfare, Northern Nevada Operating Engineers Health & Welfare, Electrical Workers Health & Welfare, Plumbers & Pipefitters UA Local 350 Health & Welfare. If you do not see your insurance listed, feel free to give us a call and we can discuss options with you!

Can therapy be done virtually?

Yes! We offer online speech and occupational therapy sessions via video call, when appropriate to the patient.

We provide speech and occupational therapy for individuals of all ages, from infants to older adults. Whether you are seeking therapy for a child or an adult, we offer services tailored to each life stage.

How do I know if my child needs speech or occupational therapy?

  • Difficulty pronouncing certain sounds
